Saving puppy Max
Puppy Max after being rescued by the North Devon Animal Ambulance

The North Devon Animal Ambulance was called when veterinary nurses at a local vet practice wanted to find a home for a one-day-old puppy, a delightful fluffy bundle that was unwanted by a breeder. Why? Because he wasn't a pedigree puppy. With just a few hours before he was due to be put to sleep, the north Devon Animal Ambulance was called and Diana collected the little bundle of fluff, later named Max. Armed with replacement milk, NDAA chairperson Pauline Bussell successfully hand-reared Max. He now enjoys a happy, carefree life with Pauline and her family.
