NDAA Rehoming

A major part of the North Devon Animal Ambulance work involves the rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of Devon's domestic animals and wildlife. Once this has been done, the next stage is to rehome domestic animals or, wherever possible, return wild animals to their natural environment. Where this isn’t possible, the NDAA has excellent relationships with suitable wildlife sanctuaries.

For rehoming of animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs, we need a continual supply of caring people who are ready to take responsibility for animals that have often been through a traumatic experience.

The special needs of elderly people and elderly cats

We particularly understand the special needs of elderly people and elderly cats. Unlike some animal rescue organisations, we can often rehome a suitably docile cat to a compatible elderly person. If you are in this position and would like a new companion cat, please call us or ask a friend or relative to contact us so we can see what we can do for you.

A selection of animals available for rehoming

The following is a selection of animals that are currently available through the North Devon Animal Ambulance. If you feel you can give any of these animals a loving home, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Also, because new animals come in every day, please call to leave your details with us and we will endeavour to find your perfect companion!

Small Animals that need rehoming

Cats for Re-homing

If you would like to re-home a cat or kitten, we nearly always have a full unit full of felines that are eager for adoption. The cats in particular come in and are often adopted ver y quickly, sometimes faster than their picture can be put online so although we have many cats available we will only plave cats on the website where the animal has special or unusual re-homing needs. Please ring us if you can offer a good family home to one (or more). Call our chairperson, Pauline Bussell on 01271 323740 to make an appointment to come and meet them. This will ensure both you and your prospective cat will be happy together.
