Tragedy on Northam Burrows
Sheep worrying by stray dogs continues to be a problem as this picture of a badly injured animal demonstrates
Even after decades of publicity and public awareness campaigns about the dangers of sheep-worrying and stray dogs, this sheep had been attacked by dogs on Northam Burrows, near Bideford. Yet again, an observant member of the public took the time to call the North Devon Animal Ambulance. Sadly, however, the sheep had been so badly hurt in the attack that it had to be put to sleep.
